The 2024 edition of the Indústria del Coneixement (IdC) program, promoted by AGAUR (Catalonia’s Agency for University and Research Grants), concluded with an Investor Day at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park, showcasing research projects with strong technology transfer potential.
BRIGHT‑GUIDE, led by the Nanomol‑bio group at ICMAB‑CSIC, focuses on developing an ultrabright fluorescent agent for image-guided oncology surgery, aiming to improve tumor visibility during operations and enhance surgical precision. The project team included Mariana Köber (PI) and Judit Morlà (entrepreneur).
The project’s presentation to investors and technology transfer experts emphasized its social and economic impact, demonstrating the pathway from scientific research to real-world medical applications.
