NANOMOL-BIO group is devoted to the synthesis, physicochemical characterization, and development, up to pre-clinical regulatory phases, of molecular and polymeric (nano)materials for biomedical applications: (i) therapy, (ii) diagnosis, (iii) prevention, and (iv) regenerative medicine.
We are a research group of the Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC). Nanomol-bio together with e-MolMat constitute the Nanomol Research Unit. Nanomol is member of the Biomedical Research Network (CIBER) in the area of Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine; and is awarded with the TECNIO label given to Catalan research unites with high innovative and tech transfer capacities. Both groups have been recognized as Consolidated Research Groups (GRC) by the Generalitat de Catalunya through the SGR recognition.
We coordinate the Unit 6 of the ICTS NANBIOSIS, U6 Biomaterial Processing and Nanostructuring Unit, certified with ISO 9001:2015, which is also known as the SOFT service at the ICMAB-CSIC.
