Nanomol-bio recently celebrated the successful completion of two student research projects carried out by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) students within the research group. Roger Colom Carbonell, a student in the Master's Degree in Advanced Biotechnology, and Guillem Solé Márquez, an undergraduate student in the Bachelor's Degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, completed their Master's Thesis (TFM) and Bachelor's Thesis (TFG), respectively, at Nanomol-bio.
Both projects focused on the development of nanovesicles for imaging applications. Although sharing a common research field, each thesis explored a different application, contributing to the ongoing efforts of the group to design innovative nanomaterials for biomedical imaging.

Roger Colom Carbonell defended his Master's Thesis on 13 July 2026. His work was jointly supervised by Judit Morlà-Folch from the Nanomol-bio group (ICMAB-CSIC) and Juan Pellico from the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites group (ICMAB-CSIC), reflecting the interdisciplinary collaboration between research groups at the institute.
Earlier this summer, on 29 June 2026, Guillem Solé Márquez successfully defended his Bachelor's Thesis. His project was supervised by Mariana Köber and Guillem Vargas-Nadal from the Nanomol-bio group at ICMAB-CSIC and CIBER-BBN.

Master's and undergraduate students are an important part of the research carried out at Nanomol-bio. Their projects contribute to the group's scientific activities while providing valuable training in a research environment.
